Guardianship/ Conservatorships

When a person becomes mentally or physically disabled a guardian or conservator may need to be appointed to look after his or her interests.

Such a person is appointed by the probate judge.

At issue may be whether or not the person purported to be disabled really needs a guardian.

There may be an issue as to whom is the right person to be appointed guardian.

Whoever is appointed guardian will need to make accountings to the Court.

All of these matters require the involvement of legal counsel.
